Year 3

Through the keyhole, Who lives in a house like this?

In History Year 3 will be using different sources of evidence to find out about the past and significant events  in the development of buildings in the UK.  Our journey begins with our homes today and we will travel through time to investigate why our homes are like they are today.
Numeracy-  Our focus for this half term will be; place value, addition and subtraction and properties of shapes. We will also focus on our number skills and mental arithmetic.
Literacy- We will be looking at familiar and traditional tales and we will  write our own versions. We will be thinking about what we need in our writing to make it ‘Year 3’ and we will begin to join our handwriting up and develop a consistent style. In our writing we aim to meet the golden standard expectations.
Science- Delving into the depths of the earth to gain a deeper understanding of rocks and soils.

Robot Wars!

We have worked hard to create beautiful watercolour paintings.

We have thought about all reasons we are lucky. Here is our display of lucky clovers.
